Tremron Driveway & Pavers: The Tampa Owner’s Guide
If you have a Tremron paver driveway, walkway, or patio in Tampa and one or more pavers have cracked, shifted, or sunk, we stock Tremron-compatible units and can match most current and recently discontinued Tampa-area product lines. A typical paver repair or section replacement in Tampa runs $700 to $4,500 depending on square footage, base repair, and access, while a full paver driveway installation sits between $7,000 and $18,000. Most owners realize something is wrong after a summer storm: water pools in a low spot that was not there last year, a paver rocks underfoot, or a section near the driveway apron has separated from the concrete and started to wander. The good news is that individual pavers almost never fail from manufacturing defects. The base underneath them does.
We are an independent Tampa remodeling and hardscape contractor. We are not affiliated with Tremron, but we work with their paver systems regularly and we know which units we can pull from local supply yards the same week, which ones need a short order window, and when the old paver can be cleaned and reset rather than replaced. Graham Stein and our crew have matched Tremron pavers for driveways across Tampa, including older Seminole Heights homes where the driveway is tight to the house and water management matters as much as the paver itself.
Which Tremron Models This Applies To

Tremron manufactures concrete pavers in several families, and Tampa driveways most commonly use their Holland, Olde Towne, and Mega系列-style interlocking pavers, along with larger slab units for patios and pool decks. The fastest way to identify what you have is to measure it. Tremron Holland pavers typically run 4 by 8 inches. Olde Towne units are usually 6 by 9 inches with a tumbled, aged edge. Larger slab pavers, like the Tremron Mega series, come in 16 by 16 and 24 by 24 formats and are sometimes used in driveways, though patio and pool applications are more common in Tampa.
The compatibility gotcha most owners do not see coming is color batch. Tremron pavers are colored with integral pigments, and every production run lands slightly different. A paver bought today to match a driveway installed in 2016 will be close, but not invisible. If you have original pavers stored from the first install, keep them. If not, we will pull two or three candidate units, set them next to the existing surface in daylight, and let you pick before anything is mortared or compacted. That step costs nothing and prevents the eye-drawing patchwork that happens when color is matched from a catalog photo alone.
OEM versus aftermarket for Tremron in Tampa: for structural pavers, especially driveway units, we recommend genuine Tremron or another manufacturer’s paver with an identical dimensional spec. Aftermarket units that are a sixteenth of an inch off in height create a trip edge. For edge restraints, paver sand, and polymeric joint material, quality aftermarket is fine and often better than what was originally installed. One more Tampa-specific note: Tremron pavers are extremely salt-adjacent resistant, but if your driveway is within a block of saltwater canals in South Tampa or near the bay side of Bayshore, expect surface mineral bloom on any concrete paver. That is cosmetic and cleanable, not a structural problem.

Signs Your Tremron Driveway & Pavers Is Failing
- Low spots that hold water for more than an hour after rain. This usually means the base aggregate has washed out or was too thin under the original install. Water is not draining through the paver joints the way it should, and in Tampa’s wet season this only accelerates.
- A paver that rocks or shifts under your foot. One loose paver means the bedding sand layer has migrated. The sand washes from the joints into the base, and the paver loses its seat. Left alone, neighboring pavers begin to shift too.
- Widening joints between pavers, especially near the driveway edge. Interlock pavers need edge restraint to stay tight. When the plastic or concrete restraint fails, the entire field begins to spread outward and the surface loses its load-bearing lock.
- A paver that is cracked clean through, not just chipped at the edge. Surface chips are cosmetic. A full crack means the paver is flexing over a void or a base that has eroded. The crack itself will not heal, and the void underneath keeps growing.
- Moss, weed, or ant activity inside the joints. This is normal Florida wear, but it tells you the joint sand has washed below the surface and needs to be replaced with a proper polymeric sand to slow water penetration and root growth in Tampa’s heat.

AfterReplacement Cost & What’s Included

For a Tampa Tremron paver repair, whether it is a single cracked unit or a section that has settled, our written price falls in these ranges:
- Single paver replacement: $150 to $400, including matching the unit, removing the broken paver, installing the new one, and re-sanding the surrounding joints.
- Section repair with base regrade: $700 to $2,500, covering removal of the affected area, excavation and replacement of failed base material, recompaction, paver reset, and fresh joint sand.
- Edge restraint repair: $400 to $1,500, depending on the linear footage and whether the driveway edge needs concrete curbing or a buried plastic restraint.
- Full paver driveway installation in Tampa: $7,000 to $18,000, including demolition of the old surface, proper base prep, Tremron paver installation, edge restraint, and joint sand.
Every price is written down before the first tool comes off the truck. What drives the range is access: a driveway in Tampa’s flat neighborhoods is easier than one on a steep lot in Tampa Palms, and a driveway with buried irrigation lines or a large oak root system costs more to prep correctly. All our paver work is covered by our 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it is not done right, we make it right.
DIY or Call Us?
You can safely inspect your own pavers. Walk the surface barefoot after a rain and feel for rocking units. Look at the edges for spreading. Mark low spots with a hose and watch how long water stands. What you should not do is lift a driveway paver and re-sand it as a weekend fix. Driveway pavers carry vehicle load, and without excavating the base, compacting it in lifts, and re-setting the paver with proper edge restraint, you will put the same problem right back in the same spot by the next rainy season. The paver itself is rarely the full fix. The base is.
If you are in Tampa and you want it done once, call us at (850) 779-4017. We will come out, look at the base, measure the pavers, and hand you a written price for the repair before any work starts. No guessing, no price that grows.
FAQs

A properly installed Tremron driveway in Tampa typically lasts 25 to 40 years, but the dry summer heat, afternoon downpours, and periodic tropical storms mean the base and joint sand need attention every 8 to 12 years, even when the pavers themselves are still sound. Call (850) 779-4017 if you are seeing settlement or washout, and we will tell you honestly whether it is a base repair or a full reset.
A cracked paver is replaced, not repaired. Hairline surface chips can be left alone, but any crack that runs through the paver means the unit has lost its structural integrity, and we will match it to the closest current Tremron color batch and swap it out. Call (850) 779-4017 for a free estimate on the replacement.
Most single-paver and small section repairs take half a day to one full day, including removing the affected area, regrading and compacting the base, resetting the pavers, and finishing the joints with sand. Larger re-leveling jobs that require excavating deep base material can run two to three days. Call (850) 779-4017 and we will give you a written timeline with the written price.
We keep common Tremron Holland and Olde Towne units moving through our jobs frequently enough that many common Tampa colors are available within a few days from local supply yards, and we always hand-match color against your existing driveway before installation. Unusual sizes or retired color batches take longer and cost more to source. Call (850) 779-4017 with your paver measurements or a photo, and we will tell you what is realistic before you commit.
We also stock and install cabinet and surface lines from KraftMaid, Cambria, and Silestone for the Tampa homeowners who call us about a driveway and end up asking about the kitchen too. One job at a time, one written price at a time. We write it down before we start so nobody is guessing mid-project.
If your Tremron driveway or paver surface in Tampa needs a repair, a re-level, or a full replacement, call us at (850) 779-4017 to schedule a free estimate. We will show up with shoe covers, look at the base before we look at the paver, and hand you a written price with a clean-up photo before the crew leaves.
